Seeking validation

I must confess that I have little to write about today,so I must reveal the secrets of the universe in three short statements.

1. My brother Paul says that math was created by the devil. After much theological reflection on this subject, both of us agree that if this is true then you, Toby, the math genius of the universe, need to seriously repent.

2. Please rent the movie Akeelah and the Bee. The movie teaches a valuable lesson about not being afraid to be great.

3. Please read my posts “Road Rage” and “Jesus and the rich young reprobate.” These are great posts and none of you have had the decency to call me an idiot for writing them. Shame on you!

Have a great day everyone.

  1. math was created by humans, it’s all stuff that we made up. it can be used describe patterns and physical phenomenon created by God. yes, you’re right, i need to repent, but not because of math. maybe God uses math in people’s lives to test them and make them stronger [paul]. i don’t care if you like math or not, but without it, we would have no significant technological developments. we would have maxed out or inventions somewhere around, i dunno, the wheel or fire.finally, i thought the prestige was an excellent film.thank you.

  2. ouch…burn. aaron, he got you.

  3. Note to self. Do not antagonize Toby. Just wanted to know if you were still out there. It’s good to hear from you. I agree. The Prestige was a good film.

  4. “i don’t care if you like math or not, but without it, we would have no significant technological developments. we would have maxed out or inventions somewhere around, i dunno, the wheel or fire.”Yes Toby, you’re correct, but haven’t you been told that technology is bad. Computers, phones, TV!!, transportation improvements, refrigerators!!! It’s all evil I tell ya’. EVIL!!!What’s that? You hadn’t heard? I’ll have to get you the shirt. Satan is getting what he wants when we all advance our lives through the gifts that God has given us.PeteP.S. dripping with sarcasm

  5. Pete,You’re always good for a little sarcasm. What would the world be like without sarcasm? I’m not sure. I’m still trying to figure out if what I just wrote is sarcastic or not.

  6. ps: yes, i’ve been reading your posts. on some of them i have little to say except ‘i agree’ and some of them i don’t have any developed thoughts for or against what you wrote.
